What's the Difference ?

Part of an ADDRESS OF WILLIAM L. HARRIS.

William Harris was a native Georgian and graduate of the University of Georgia who had moved to Mississippi in 1837. He had served as a circuit court judge, and was elected to Mississippi's highest court, the High Court of Errors and Appeals, in 1858. He was appointed a commissioner to the State of Georgia by Mississippi Governor John J. Pettus. In this capacity he delivered the following address to the Georgia General Assembly, on December 17, 1860. The speech was published in pamphlet form as Address of Hon. W. L. Harris, Commissioner from the State of Mississippi, Delivered before the General Assembly of the State of Georgia on Monday, Dec. 17th, 1860

"Our fathers made this a government for the white man, rejecting the negro, as an ignorant, inferior, barbarian race, incapable of self-government, and not, therefore, entitled to be associated with the white man upon terms of civil, political, or social equality."

The entire address is HERE

Part of a statement by Abe Lincoln -

“I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race."

It's only a matter of time ---

You "CAN" Judge a Book by its Cover ! ----

The past few days I've been trying to adjust my Body Clock  for my new job.
No more Ghettos, I'm moving to a factory !

So after 5 years of Graveyard shift I'm moving to 1st shift and daylight hours.

I'm doing everything I can to stay awake and to do so I'm keeping busy !

I've added to my book collection ---

Notice the center book on top !

It's really an old Cigar Box !

So I made some alterations to it ---

I inserted an old Post Office Box Door.

It's kind of small, but heck I ain't got that much valuable stuff to stash !

I think it's a neat idea, and it kept me awake for an hour or two !

Oh well on to my next project ! ------

Jumpin Jackrabbits !!!!

While I was surfin around Face Book I found a copy of a picture I manufactured a while back.

It was done with a Photo Shop type program ---

The picture has a touch of symbolism in it's design.

God's promise to never flood the earth again the rainbow.
Is set behind the battle Flag
So what  I was saying is "I promise to keep it flying"

This was the original photo ---

I made the picture to put on a ribbon

I also put the picture on line.

I was amazed to find it had over 21000 shares.
And over 5000 likes.

I found the stats HERE.

Thanks to all who shared and liked the picture.

Night Shift

It seems The VA Flaggers are branching out--

now getting into security work.

Watching over Confederate Monuments at night.

It's a thankless job for the most part, all security work is like that !

But I'm thankful, so I've made a new ribbon for the
"Night Shift"

It's a sad state of affairs when "PUNKS" with a 99 cent can of spray paint
make national news with their criminal activity.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the folks on the "Night Shift"

God Bless you folks, and above all else
"Be Careful out there"
