The Confederate flag memorial on the lawn of the Sutherlin Mansion, in Danville VA, is staying where it's at.
In a terse news release the city, said that,--------
"under Virginia law, the city does not have the legal authority to remove the Confederate flag flying on the grounds of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History."
I don't consider this a victory. It's a stalemate.
ReplyDeleteWe gained nothing, we only kept what we already had.
It is nice however that we kept it !
