How Far Will the Virginia Flaggers Go For Attention?

Silent Simpson !

Good ol Brook's so fast to hammer folks who post inaccurately.
But when one of the folks on his side of the fence does so, NOT ONE WORD !
Kevin shot his mouth off and was proven wrong.
As did quite a few commentators at his blog.
As for Kevin, he posted an apology to the Flaggers and S.C.V. but later removed it.
"NO HONOR AMONG THIEVES" I guess.

It's not just The Flaggers ----

It seems that Simpson, Hall, and Levin are unable to hide their glee over the removal of the flags at
W&L University.

They also are unable to hide their contempt for the Virginia Flaggers.

In the latest round of 

The Terrible Trio directly associate the removal of the flags at W&L with a defeat of the Flaggers.

The thing I wish to make known is this --

"It's a defeat for EVERYONE"

The Alumni, The Students, The public in general.

How on earth can you expand on history by taking something away ?

What about, Diversity, Tolerance, and Understanding ?

Twas a night before Christmas !

Twas a night before Christmas, and in cyber land,

It seems that ol Kevin was leaving HK. alone -

And Rob Baker from Georgia, was silent as stone.

While drinking my coffee, and taking a sip

I saw not one single word from the "LibertyLip"

And that guy named Al Mackey, as he seldom will do,

Had sealed his mouth shut, with fresh Crazy Glue !

Not one word from Corey, the habitual liar,

I guess he was warming his feet by the fire.

And it was quiet strange there was no Andy Hall

Had he slipped on the steps and taken a fall ?

And from Babblin Brooks Simpson, not one single word,

I thought to myself, it's nice but absurd---

No Mackey, No Sideshow, No Kevin or Andy

No Corey, or Simpson, I felt this was Dandy !

So I counted my blessings, and I turned off the light,

Merry Christmas to Y'all, & Y'all have a goodnight !

True Courage !

I was watching the movie "42" the other night, a great movie and one scene in particular comes to mind.

Harrison Ford playing Branch Rickey, says to Chadwick Boseman playing Jackie Robinson,

" I need a man with the courage to not fight back "

That was a fantastic line !

That being said I will get to the subject of this post -- Courage !

One of the most courageous people I know is Susan Hathaway, Yep the founder of the VA Flaggers.

This young lady stood in front of the VMFA alone with a Confederate Battle Flag to protest what many see as an injustice ( The removal of the CBF from the Chapel ), God bless her for that !

Now then by doing so she has come under constant attack from opponents who distort her reasons for carrying the flag.

One in particular Brooks Simpson, seems to have a fixation on Susan, he is constantly Brow Beating her,

making ludicrous accusations about her, and challenging her to reply to his comments.

She gives no reply to him ! So he calls her Silent Susan. I tell you what, Susan is anything but silent !

she ain't afraid of a microphone and don't mince her words, add to her speaking ability, a wonderful singing voice. And she is entertaining and informative.

So it's kinda like the Robinson story, Susan is out front forwarding the colors trying as best she can to protect all of our southern Ancestors. While The whole time the Floggers continue to attack her.

 She is a woman with the courage to not fight back and stays focused on her task.

God Bless ya Susan, Thanks for all your hard work !

OK so we got Andy seyz,-that Gary seyz,- that Susan seyz -- then throw in Rob Baker as a "Side Bar"and we got a real mess. 

Gary has been accused of lying and plagiarizing so many times, I find it strange that suddenly Andy  wants to believe a second hand statement !

Now then given the side of the fence that Andy and Rob tend to stand on, I'm suspect of the conclusion.

Sorry Andy I ain't buyin into your story, somethin just don't fit !

They love to attack SHPG and the individuals who are a part of it.

Sunday at SHPG we had differing opinions on HK Edgerton.  Some folks felt that $20.000.00 was a bit steep for a speakers fee ( I am one ) Others defended HK's asking price.

Now then, I took this picture Saturday right behind the VMFA, and sure as shootin there is a Union Flag on the grounds of a Confederate memorial !

Surely it was not for slavery they fought. The great majority of them had never owned a slave and had little or no interest in the institution. My own father, for example, had freed his slaves long years before; that is, all save one, who would not be "emancipated," our dear "Mammy," who clung to us when we moved to the North and never recognized any change in her condition or her relations to us. The great conflict will never be properly comprehended by the man who looks upon it as a war for the preservation of slavery.

        Nor was it, so far as Virginia was concerned, a war in support of the right of secession or the Southern interpretation of the Constitution. Virginia did not favor this interpretation; at least, she did not favor the exercise of the right of secession. Up to President Lincoln's call for troops she refused to secede. She changed her position under the distinct threat of invasion--the demand that she help coerce her sister States. This was the turning point. The Whig party, the anti-secession party of Virginia, became the war party of Virginia upon this issue. As John B. Baldwin, the great Whig and Union leader, said, speaking of the effect of Lincoln's call for troops, "We have no Union men in Virginia now." The change of front was instantaneous, it was intuitive. I am proud to have her as a friend !

Karen is an advocate of States Rights and The Constitution.

That seems like a fine Example to set for the next Generation !  Do you have a problem with that ?

Why don't you pose the question to her directly? I am sure she will set you straight !

It's not that Complicated !

It's not about being a "Lost Causer" or being a "Neo Confederate"

It's a matter of Respect, and Honor !

It's a hot day and you are walking through town , your feet are smokin hot from the concrete and asphalt, you pass by a lush green lawn, it has a sign, "Please Keep Off The Grass"

It doesn't say "No Trespassing" so would it be "proper" to take your shoes off and walk across the lawn ?

Your not walking across the lawn to damage it, but your poor feet are hot, so you say what's the harm? You also say I'm not breaking any law since the sign is a request!

Can you see where I'm coming from ?

Would it be "PROPER" to walk across the grass?

I say yes ! Respect and Honor are seriously lacking in today's society !

But some folks just don't care, It's more important to inflate their blog hits by using controversial methods and ignoring scruples!

It's a sad state of affairs. This reflects directly upon the pirate who ignored a polite request !

I don’t think anyone at SHPG is actually in favor of desecrating a monument to any Northern soldier!

The picture you were referring to was satirical in its nature.

One of the facts you overlook is the folks at SHPG are everyday folks, we don’t claim to be college graduates with a wall full of diplomas. And just as in real life we cut up and clown around a bit.

We do not take refuge in “Ivory Towers” of higher education. We speak our mind and try as best we can to have the truth behind what we post! And on occasion the post are deleted, for any number of reasons, I myself have deleted a number of post that have contained racist veils or outright racist comments. But being an open group SHPG is vulnerable to inappropriate post. We try as best we can to police (censor) content to keep it as close to our stated mission as possible.

As for deleting post; Kevin Levin took down a post that painted a target on Susan Hathaway. This post criticized her and put all her personal information on line for all to see! With its negative overtones this post was nothing more than intimidation! Also after numerous comments from me about Kevin’s use of one of Mort Kunstler’s paintings that was a copyright violation he changed the post, then deleted many post that I hade made at his site.

I would suggest looking in the mirror before shining your Halos!

Suppress Nothing !

This is a pretty basic rule! I feel that " Suppress nothing that is true"

This is what separates The Confederate or Southern Historian from the Yankee or Northern one!

The Northern historians are always shining a bright light on the South/Slavery !

The Yanks are all too quick to show the admitted faults of the south. In doing so the choose to ignore or conceal the other side of the issue!

They keep the spotlight in your eyes so that you Cant see what they don't want you to see!

All the time they are shining their halos!

It's a tactic that has been used for 150 years!

If the Yankee Bastards would just own up to their part in the mess we could move ahead!

But I guess guilt keeps em from doing so !
