Next Project ---

The Black Lives Matter Ribbons went over great !

On to my next project --

Confederate Women !

I'm gonna try to do this series a bit different.

Not just the big names, but lesser known women

including the wives of the man in the field

Kate Sperry

I'm hoping to put a short Bio on the back of each ribbon.
(Gotta see how the Bleed Through thing will happen)

The reason I want to put homemakers on the ribbon is simple,

They were what the men were fighting to protect !

And the women at home were as much of a Hero as the man in the field.

STAY TUNED !

UPDATE !!!!

the scanned image is fuzzy, the ribbon looks fine !

JUST FOR FUN----

E-Bay Auction

Black Lives Matter !

Just getting started with this set ---
Eventually gonna be a set of 13 !

Gettin Around !

Well I'm happy !
The Remembrance coins I make are getting around !

The latest placement was in the
Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery.

I'm told the Grounds Keeper Loved them and was given one to keep !

I'm also having success with the HONOR Ribbons.

I love doing multiple ribbons of the same theme !

But I still do custom ribbons.
( this is a paper proof)

I have a back order for these !

So despite the occasional crude comment I get, my Positive Projects are well received.

My favorite placement was this one in Union Springs Alabama -

This is in the works !

So if you have an ancestor you wish to honor, or a favorite Confederate Soldier gimme a shout,
I'll hook you up !

NO YANKEES

UPDATE

Memorial Day 2015 - Ceder Hill

I had a wonderful time yesterday at Ceder Hill Cemetery in Suffolk VA.

As I was walking to the podium --

I saw a group of Boy Scouts Placing American flags.

I then placed a few Remember coins along the way,

Heck I needed a bucket full, there are a lot of Confederate Soldiers at Ceder Hill.

When I arrived at the speaker's site I found an old Friend
Susan Carraway from the UDC.

She was wearing one of the ribbons I made for the occasion.
as were some others--

That made me feel pretty good !

The podium was beside the Tom Smith Monument.

I still had a few minutes before the event started so I took a few pictures.
The UDC had all the Confederate graves marked with flags.

When the Ceremony started the colors were brought forward,

A number of speakers were present.
Susan Carraway from the UDC
( I overheard a conversation, one of the other ladies apologized for introducing her as
Susan Hathaway at a previous event)

Kevin Beale, from the Tom Smith Camp
(Nice Ribbon)

Mike Pullen SCV  Oakwood Restoration Committee
(TriPp's Buddy)

Mr Lee Hart.

I forget this guys name, and ain't sure how he got to the podium.

Following the speakers wreaths were presented.
Suffolk Chapter 173 UDC

Tom Smith Camp 1702 SCV

John Sharrett of the Stonewall camp

Following the wreath presentation the
Dismal Swamp Rangers
gave a Rifle Salute.

Becky Sharrett gave a closing prayer.

A wonderful day !

DEO VINDICE .

WARM AND FUZZY !

The past few days, here and on a few F/B pages, I've been trying to persuade folks to not battle with the Haters. Why argue with someone who ain't gonna listen ?

So I've been working on Pro - Southern Projects. This morning I made a few Ceremonial Ribbons for a Memorial Day observance at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suffolk VA Tomorrow.

Nothing super fancy, a basic colorful design.

Well I went to town and gave them to a woman from the UDC who will be at the event tomorrow.
She was surprised and got a little misty eyed. She thanked me for the ribbons.
I walked away with that "Warm and Fuzzy feeling.

I'm going to try to make it to the event tomorrow and I will take pictures and make a post.

I'm gonna wear this ribbon -

It's all about HONOR !
