A statue for the common man.

With all the fuss over the Lee statue in C-Ville it's easy to overlook another.

The Statue for the common man.

Not a general, but the average man. Who put his life on the line to stop an invading army !

William Meade Dame explains the Average man very well --

WILLIAM MEADE DAME, D. D.
Private, First Company Richmond Howitzers

In 1861 a ringing call came to the manhood of the South. The world knows how the men of the South answered that call. Dropping everything, they came from mountains, valleys and plains—from Maryland to Texas, they eagerly crowded to the front, and stood to arms. What for? What moved them? What was in their minds?

Shallow-minded writers have tried hard to make it appear that slavery was the cause of that war; that the Southern men fought to keep their slaves. They utterly miss the point, or purposely pervert the truth.

In days gone by, the theological schoolmen held hot contention over the question as to the kind of wood the Cross of Calvary was made from. In their zeal over this trivial matter, they lost sight of the great thing that did matter; the mighty transaction, and purpose displayed upon that Cross.

Just read what is on the statue !

Pretty poignant wording !

Notice the VA Seal at the Bottom !

Just in case the P.C. crowd succeeds in having the Lee statue removed,
I have no doubt the one in front of the court house will go also.

But "IF" they have success I have a small piece they can't take !
Using clay and plaster of Paris I made a copy of the Emblem.

God Bless the Defenders of Virginia !

Reparations vs Compensation !

Once again the "Gravy Train Reparations" crew are clamoring for FREE MONEY !!

OK, I say do it "IF"

This image was altered by me I added the text on the sign.

After all "Fair is Fair"

The 13th amendment freed the slaves without compensating the slave owners.

In reality one idea is just as "stupid" as the other.

But what's good for the Goose is good for the Gander !

War Pigs --

I wish I could do a slide show with the song, but til I can ---

Generals gathered in their masses,
Just like witches at black masses.

Evil minds that plot destruction,
Sorcerer of death's construction.

In the fields the bodies burning,

As the war machine keeps turning

Death and hatred to mankind,
Poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away,
They only started the war.

Why should they go out to fight,
They leave that role to the poor.

Time will tell on their power mind, **
Making war just for fun
.

Treating people just like pawns in chess,
Wait till their judgement day comes.

Now in darkness world stops turning, Ashes where the bodies burning.

No more war pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.

Day of judgement God is calling,
On their knees the war pig's crawling.

Begging mercy for their sins,
Satan laughing spreads his wings.

THANKS OZZIE

The 7 X 7 Cross of Honor

I've been experimenting with a new item.
a small Cross of Honor --

I've sent a few test pieces out, and they were well liked.

About 7 X 7 inches with a "REMEMBER" coin embedded in the center.
And C.S.A. is pressed into its blades.

I've also gotten a good reaction to my new ribbon design ---

It takes two separate programs to make the GRAY Ribbons
but folks seem to like them much better.

This is a new set I call
Virginia's Finest.
The Ribbons have matching coins.

So I'm staying positive, ignoring the haters and commotion I can't control.

If you are interested in either contact me here, or at F/B or at my E-Mail Davtatum@aol.com.

Stay Positive my friends !

STAYING POSITIVE !!

I've got a new project that I'm happy with !

I call it - Virginia's Finest

It's a simple concept --

A way to honor three of Virginia's Finest Men.

A lot of work goes into making these ribbons -

I had the J.E.B. coin for years, so I had to find the matching coins.

Once that was done ---
The hardest part was next - making the molds / presses ,
Every time you copy something you get some loss of image.

If you're going to make something with an image of such Honorable men on it

You gotta get it right !

Then you make the coins --

I've described the process before you can see how to do it

HERE !

After you make the coins you gotta put the pins on --

Then you paint them by hand !

( These coins didn't make the cut, my QC guy is tough)

Then you make the Ribbons --

I have developed a system using a Photo Shop type program and my printer.

After the ribbons are made you gotta glue em on the coins

So I can put anything you want on a Ribbon.

These WWII Vet's were a custom set I made by request.

I also made a set for the V.V.O.C,

And I still make the "REMEMBER" coins that are placed on Confederate Veteran's Graves.

AND I've put up a New 5' X 8" flag --

There is a lot going on that I can't control Monuments under attack and flags being removed --

But there is a lot I can do !

And as long as I'm breathing I'm going to do what I can !

UPDATE !!
I keep trying new things
Sometimes it works !!!!

I have to use two different programs but I like the new ribbons a lot better !
