VICTORY IN RICHMOND !

 Proposed Monument Resolution FAILS !

December 11, 2017 9:15 p.m.

City Council resolution to ask General Assembly permission to move the monuments on Monument Avenue FAILS SOUNDLY. 6-2

Councilman Newbille abstained
Yays were Councilmen Jones (sponsor) and Robertson

The fight is far from over.  There is still a commission appointed to "study" the issue,  but this is a HUGE WIN and the result of a lot of hard work and grass roots organizing and thanks to many of YOU who contacted City Council and let your voice be heard!

Keep on Rockin ---

Where some folks see a rock, I see an opportunity !

A river rock, and some imagination --

Add an unreconstructed VA state seal,
and a wonderful quote, and you have something Yankee's can't understand !

It's all about a love for Virginia, her history and heritage.

I can place this rock where it may stay for years until discovered,
but when someone finds it the message will show !

Yes I Love Virginia !

Merry Christmas to all !

Leaving a Rock ---

, "In Christian lore, rocks are a powerful symbol of the Lord." There are many places in the Old Testament Bible that compare God to a rock. One being Psalm 18:2 -- "The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust, my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

So the placing of a rock on a tombstone could represent a belief that the deceased is with God.*

Leaving a stone or pebble is a gesture of appreciation for the strong and lasting impression they have made on your life. Stones left by others show a long-term influence in their lives as well.  What a wonderful way to leave a lasting tribute of love and honor at the grave site.**

I've made some rocks to be left on Confederate Graves --

"Everybody must get stoned"

Well it seems I've gotten caught up in the Rock Hiding craze.

It's where people paint / decorate rocks and place them for others to find !

And true to form I put my own spin on the hobby.

I was a member of Suffolk Rocks til I posted this picture --

It seems I offended someone and was "separated" from the group !

No worries I started my own F/B page,

As of today I've 17 members.

I go around and place Confederate themed rocks for people to find --

Will Mr Peanut be next ?

With all the Monument Madness spreading, I'm wondering if Mr Peanut is next ?

Toward the end of the American Civil War the South's food supply was very limited.  Peanuts or "goober peas" were a main source of food for the Confederate army because they grow easily in the South. Soldiers griped noisily about having so little to eat and the poor goober

Will folks who have allergic reactions to peanuts throw a rope around it and topple his statue ?
Or will the ANTIFA fanatics realize Confederate soldiers used them as a food source and decide that the statue must come down !

Mr. Peanut was born when schoolboy Antonio Gentile
submitted a sketch to win the Planters contest for a brand icon.

The family got $5 for the submission !

Stay tuned as the Monument Madness continues !
