You're Offended ! SO WHAT ?

Yeeeesh, I'm sick of folks crying about being OFFENDED !

This young lady

Zyanha Bryant

Is offended by the Lee Statue in a Charlottesville park.

So she started a petition to have it removed.

Well she is well within her rights to say and do so !

BUT GIMME A BREAK !

If everything that offends someone is removed from sight
 the earth would be bare !

(and that's sure to offend someone)

It seems some folks want the Statue to stay put !

could it be the VA Flaggers ?

I could go on but you get the idea.

So What,  Miss Bryant is OFFENDED !

As far as I know being Offended has never killed anyone !

The sun will still come up and life will go on.

If you can't leave.

I got into a Discussion the other day.

A typical loud mouth Yankee from New York.

All he had was " Yoouse guys lost" and "Slavery"

Typical Yankee logic.

When I would try to make a point he would cut me off, get loud and play to the crowd.

Typical 4th grade tactic.

When he finally took a breath I asked him -

Were the Slaves free to leave ? He said "NO"

In a rare moment of silence I told  him --

"Well if the South couldn't leave the Union, all the People in the South were Slaves to the Union."

He shut his pie hole !

Lightning does strike Twice !

Whoever says lightning doesn't strike twice in the Same Place,

 has not met Virginia's Governor Terry McAuliffe

Last year he put an end to the Battle Flag on SCV car tags.

This week he Vetoed  a Bill that would protect All Veteran's Monuments.

In his zeal to abolish Confederate imagery in Virginia,

He has spit in the face of all Veterans !

Yes Lightning has struck twice in the same place !

Yep he has "Thrown the Baby Out With the Bath Water"

I have an idea for Governor McAuliffe =

I'll buy the ticket --

What Color is the Sky ?

The Confederate Flag Day on 3/5/16 had a good response.

One report from Gettysburg caught my attention.

Mr Scott Hancock made a comment to a local news outlet -

"There are plenty of symbols you can choose that don't have the history and present

day connection with racism that that one does." 

I guess he has a point, depending on which side of the fence you are on.

But the same report states that the counter protesters started their protest at a statue of

Abraham Lincoln.

Then moved on 2 miles to counter the Pro Flag people.

I wonder how many anti flag protesters know that Abe Lincoln said -

" I, as well as Justice Douglas,

am in favor of the race to which I belong

having the superior position."

Maybe some do and I'm betting many don't !

But I also bet the ones that do and the ones that don't, don't care !

For them it's not History, it's Hate.

They see only what they want to see, and hear only what they want to hear.

I wonder what color the sky is in their world ?
